Lega Navale Italian (the Italian Naval League) is an association of citizens who voluntarily work to increase love for the sea and knowledge of maritime issues among Italian people, especially the young, by developing promotional, cultural, sports, environmentalist and nature initiatives suitable for achieving the statutory objectives.
It promotes and supports the practice of recreational sailing and other nautical activities and develops training courses, in consultation with the government and the CONI sports federations.
- C.I.N. (Nautical Training Centre) with courses for boat licenses "within 12 miles" and "with no limits" (Presidential Decree 421/97);
- Canoeing-Kayaking School at the Nautical Base in Vico delle Vignette s.n.c. (at the bottom of the Ponente promenade) in summer;
- Sea fishing school;
- Theoretical and/or practical nautical training courses for those who do not want to take the boat license;
- Advanced courses and/or cruises on 13m yachts;
- Maritime education at schools in the region.
